Terms of use

Last updated November 7, 2026

Landkeep is run by Linda Nichols. By creating an account or using Landkeep you agree to these terms. Questions: info@landkeep.org.

What Landkeep is

Landkeep ranks unprotected private parcels for conservation and explains each ranking. It is a screening tool. It is not a title search, appraisal, baseline report, IRS conservation purpose determination, or a substitute for a site visit, and it is not legal, tax, or appraisal advice. Parcel records come from public sources through landrecords.us and can be out of date or wrong. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

Acceptable use

Use Landkeep for conservation work. You agree not to:

Outreach to landowners should follow the Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices on landowner relations and confidentiality.

Your account

Accounts are for individual people. Keep your email account secure, because it is how you sign in. We may limit, suspend, or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. You can close your account at any time by emailing info@landkeep.org.

Beta and availability

Landkeep is in beta and free for land trusts during the beta. Features, coverage, and limits may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. If Landkeep starts charging, we will tell you first, and nothing you have already used will be billed.

No warranty

Landkeep is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Linda Nichols is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made using Landkeep.

Privacy

How Landkeep handles your information is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top will change, and we will tell account holders by email about any change that affects them.
